A FIRM COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY
United Way of Warren County (UWWC) has created this privacy policy to demonstrate its firm commitment to privacy.
This privacy policy governs the manner in which UWWC collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (“User”) of www.warrencountyunitedway.org and any affiliated microsites (collectively, the “Site”). By using our Site, User consents to the collection, use, maintenance, and disclosure of this information by UWWC.
UWWC reserves the right to revise this policy at any time. When it does, posting of the revised Privacy Policy by noting “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy constitutes notice to User of its revision.

INFORMATION UWWC COLLECTS
UWWC collects “personally identifiable information” and “usage information.”
PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
UWWC will collect personally identifiable information (information that may include User’s name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, and payment information) from Users on the Site only if they voluntarily submit such information. Users can refuse to supply personally identifiable information, but it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities and limit their ability to use the Site.
UWWC may collect personally identifiable information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users register on the Site, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, or make a donation.
HOW UWWC USES PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
UWWC is the sole owner of the information collected and does not sell or rent this information to anyone. UWWC uses standard internet industry-wide efforts to avoid disclosure of information which is confidential, privileged or nonpublic other than in accordance with this privacy policy.
Because UWWC may use third party service providers to help operate its business and the Site and to administer activities on its behalf, it may share personally identifiable and usage information with (see description below) with these third parties for such purposes. For example, UWWC may share information with individuals who fundraise on its behalf, third party service providers who send out emails, newsletters, surveys and other mailings, and who provide billing and payment processing services. UWWC will not share User information with any third party outside of our organization other than affiliates, contractors, advisors, service providers, or, in our reasonable discretion, to investigate or prevent fraud, illegal activity or misuse of our Site.
Information gathered to record a stated desire to donate online to UWWC via a direct gift or through a company-sponsored campaign is used solely by UWWC or other parties to the transaction for the purpose of executing the transaction, to improve a User’s experience with UWWC and for its internal business purposes.
UWWC may use this data to contact Users about its programs and other areas on the Site in which they have expressed interest. Users have the option of providing additional preference information, but it is not required. Periodically UWWC will send electronic communications in newsletter format or another format to donors, volunteers and other business contacts. These communications include, and are not limited to, information regarding community investment reporting, funded program information and results, news and events, and other pertinent information UWWC feels should be reported to its constituents. Recipients retain the option to opt-out of these communications at any point in time.

USAGE INFORMATION
“Usage information” is information automatically collected by a web server (which may be hosted by a third party) that a User’s browser makes available when visiting the Site, such as a computer’s IP (Internet Protocol) address or browser type. When a web browser or email application requests a web page or email from another computer on the Internet, it automatically gives that computer the address where it should send the information. This “address” does not contain any personally identifiable information. UWWC will also receive the name of the User’s internet service provider (ISP).
UWWC may also use other technologies (such as cookies, explained below) to enhance User experience and obtain information about a User’s online activities, such as pages and content viewed, the time and duration of visits and whether a User clicked on a link.
Cookies that are used on the Site are “session” cookies and are used to identify a particular visit to the Site. Session cookies expire after a short time or when a User closes a web browser. HOW UWWC USES USAGE INFORMATION
UWWC may from time to time use third party tools that help it understand how visitors engage with the Site. UWWC may share the data collected by such services with third parties in order to obtain web analytics and benchmarking services.

UWWC may use this information to administer its Site and analyze overall trends. The information which the Site automatically gathers, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors, helps determine how much visitors use parts of the

UWWC may use and disclose personally identifiable information and usage information when it has reason to believe that using and/or disclosing this information is necessary to investigate, identify, contact, or take action against someone who may have engaged in illegal activities or who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) UWWC’s rights or property, the rights of other users of their Site, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities. UWWC may also disclose personally identifiable information when it reasonably believes that the law requires it.
USER ACCESS TO AND CONTROL OVER INFORMATION
Users can review, update, correct, or delete their information or select to opt out of receiving any future UWWC communications, registration or pledge information by contacting UWWC at webmaster@uwwcoh.org.
PRIVACY OF CHILDREN
The Site is a general audience website. UWWC does not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from users of this Site who are under the age of thirteen. If UWWC becomes aware that a user of the Site is under the age of 13 and has placed an order using the Site, it will remove that child’s personal information from its files, in accordance with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998.
SECURITY
UWWC has put in place commercially reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures designed to safeguard and secure the information it collects online for reasonable, foreseeable risk. However, due to the open communication nature of the Internet, UWWC cannot guarantee that communication between Users and UWWC will be free from unauthorized access by third parties and does not ensure, warrant or guarantee the security or integrity of such information. UWWC will not be responsible for disclosure of any information due to errors in transmission or the unauthorized acts of third parties. User’s continued use of this Site signifies agreement that UWWC will not be liable for any such access.
UWWC does not warrant that Site content is complete or accurate or that use of the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free or that any content is free of disabling devices (software, content, message, or any material containing a computer virus, worm, Trojan horse, or any other device which may erase, scramble, lock, or in any other way disable computer software or equipment or prevent Users from using a website or any other item of hardware or software.)
